November - ESPN's Buster Olney flew down to give us a preview of the hot-stove action and answered questions about upcoming Ranger free agents Gary Mathews Jr, Vicente Padilla, and Rod Barajas.
October - Fort Worth Cats manager and legend Bobby Bragan recapped his team's performance in 2006 and shared stories about managing future hall of famers Bill Mazeroski, Eddie Mathews, and Hank Aaron.
September - Frisco Manager Daryl Kennedy answered fan questions about his experiences as a minor league manager and the Roughriders 2006 season.
August - Rangers broadcaster and former General Manager Tom Grieve made time to join us and discuss the first half of the team's season as well as stories from his playing days.
July - The Annual Hall-Ruggles Chapter Day at the Ballpark had 150 members and their families watch the Rangers defeat the A's 7-2 as Michael Young hit a 2 run HR into our section in left field.
June - The best in the business, Rangers PA Announcer Chuck Morgan cracked everyone in attendance up with endless stories about Ranger players past and present.
May - Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels and Club Manager Buck Showalter answered fan questions for more than two hours about the upcoming season. The chapter would like to thank Mr. Daniels and Showalter for taking the time to meet with us again this year.
April - Award winning writer Will Carroll of BaseballProspectus.com answered questions about the steroid scandal and signed copies of his new book.
March - Retired Major League umpire Durwood Merrill shared stories from his recent book, Behind the Mask. Fort Worth native Merrill now umpires local high school and college games.
February - Seventy new members signed up at the chapter's booth at the annual Rangers Winter Carnival. Firstbaseman Mark Teixeira stopped by for an impromptu Q&A with fans before signing autographs.
January - Dallas Morning news writer Evan Grant discussed the upcoming Hall of Fame balloting and shared his thoughts on the Rangers off-season thus far. |
